For location-based searches, your Google Business Profile often matters more than your website itself. Here’s how to get it properly set up.
1. Go to Google Business Profile
Go to google.com/business and sign in with the Google account you want to manage the listing with.

2. Claim or Create Your Listing
Search for your business name. If a listing already exists, claim it. If not, create a new one and enter your business details.

3. Fill In Every Section
Add your categories, hours, service area, and at least 10 photos. Incomplete profiles are shown less often than complete ones.

4. Respond to Every Review
Reply to reviews, positive and negative, ideally within a few days. This is a visible activity signal, not just a courtesy.
5. Post Regularly
Use the “Posts” feature to add short updates about specific services or offers. This gives Google fresh, specific content to match against local searches.
